The Diefenbunker Museum
The Diefenbunker is a four-story, 100,000 square foot underground bunker built during the Cold War. It was intended to house 535 Canadian government officials and military officers in the event of a nuclear attack. It served as Canadian Forces Station Carp until 1994. Today, the Diefenbunker is a museum and National historic Site of Canada, and a fierce reminder of how close we came to a nuclear disaster. For more information, visit the website.
